Privacy Policy
This privacy policy covers the mobile game Game Master Simulator
(app ID games.stillplaying.gmsim) for iOS and Android, made by
Isaac Schubert (stillplaying.games), referred to here as "we" or "us".
Short version: we do not collect, store on our servers, sell, or share any of your data. Your game progress stays on your device.
1. Data we collect
We do not collect any personal or usage data. The app:
- has no accounts, sign-in, or profiles;
- does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or address;
- does not read your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone;
- does not use device IDs, advertising IDs, or any tracking;
- has no analytics, crash reporting SDKs, or ads;
- has no in-app purchases;
- does not connect to the internet while you play.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves your current run (cards, week plan, stats, and so on) and your best score in files inside the app's private storage on your device. These files never leave your device and we cannot see them.
If you turn on device backups (like iCloud Backup on iOS or Google backup on Android), your phone may include these save files in its backup. That is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us.
3. How we use data
The save files on your device are used only to let you continue your game and to remember your best score. Nothing else.
4. How we share data
We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with anyone. This includes:
- advertisers or ad networks;
- analytics or measurement companies;
- data brokers;
- social networks;
- any other third parties.
The app is delivered through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those stores handle your download and may collect data under their own privacy policies. They may give us summary stats (like install counts or anonymous crash reports, if you have agreed to share those with Apple or Google). These stats do not identify you, and we use them only to improve the game.
We would only disclose information if required by law, and since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose.
5. Permissions
The app does not ask for any special device permissions.
6. Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13 (or the age set by the laws where you live). Because the app collects no data, it is safe for players of any age from a privacy point of view.
7. Your choices and deleting your data
You are always in control. To delete your saved game and best score, uninstall the app or clear its data in your device settings. Since we keep no copy, there is nothing to request from us. You can still contact us with any questions.
8. Security
Your save files live in the app's private storage, which your phone's operating system protects from other apps.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts collecting or sharing data, we will update this page and the effective date above before that change goes live.
